Primitive, Low-Tech, Perfect. a review of the OmerSub Flat Hunt Stainless Steel Knife by Chad
This isn't the prettiest knife you'll ever see. It has no special features, no arcane materials, no special lock mechanisms, and no 3d textured grips to make holding the knife with gloves on "an experience". It is also devoid of any marketing hype - as it should be. This knife is a sharpened chunk of stainless steel. It's inexpensive (relatively) does the job, and has no parts to fail or rust on you. Its sheath has no grabby locking mechanisms, just a simple velcro flap (which I'll admit can be a pain in the arse when scrabbling for it with gloves on in chilly waters) and the belt loop style mounting mechanism is an integral part of the sheath. All in all, it's the perfect knife - looks like it was designed in the dark, does what it's supposed to, and at the right price. Best dive knife I own.
