These shears remind of of the pruning shears I used to use when I worked in landscaping. They're not as long as even the small branch trimming kind, but they're very sharp, and clearly designed to cut ropes, nets and wires. These shears would definitely be good to have in a BC pocket or tethered to your gear in the event that you do run into an "Emergensy" and have lost your main knife or cutter. They're also inexpensive enough that it won't ruin your day if you somehow lose them while on a dive. For the price, these shears absolutely cannot be beat.
