Mares regulators are good a review of the Mares MR22 Abyss 05 Regulator by Craig Anderson
I rented a Mares Abyss at a dive shop while on vacation in Florida, and used the same rental gear for a week of diving. Perhaps the best review I can give is when a regulator works well enough that I have nothing to say about it - it worked fine, always, was easy to hook up and didn't leak, and breathing though it was so natural, the mouthpiece comfortable, so you forget you have it in your mouth. I've used other Mares regulators before too and they are all good; in fact I've never had any problems with any Mares gear, and I tend to look for that brand when I'm renting
