I have an OMS IQ-Pack with SS backplate and a wing and when I am traveling it can compact down to next to nothing. I usually bring one piece of luggage just for scuba gear but my harness, BP and bladder take up a mininal amount of space. The bag would have to be slightly larger than a bag for fins.
Now, as far as integrated weight systems, I haven’t ever tried OMS’s (or any other brand) no-sag pockets. The IQ-pack has D-rings mounted on the main waist strap at both hips which is pretty common among tech-diving harnesses. The D-ring is kept in place with a slide weight retention clip. I replaced the weight retention clip with a rubber-coated 2.5-lb. weight on each side, but with the ring still strung through the webbing the centre of the weight. Works great and I don’t need to have a weight belt! There is no chance that I will never go back to a conventional BCD.
To summarize, I will never go back to a traditional BCD.
